The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), cycling’s international governing body, is the rights-holder of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup and of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships.
An Invitation to Tender will be issued in order to grant the following rights from 2021 (for sake of clarity, the 2020-2021 season) to 2024 (2023-2024 season):
- the general organisation rights of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
- the marketing and sponsorship rights of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
- the distribution of the television rights of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Belgium (Flemish language), including the TV production of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup (worldwide) and the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships (in Belgium).
These rights shall be proposed as a global package or split into separate packages for which the interested companies shall be able to bid, either individually or jointly with a partner.
The sales process will be administered by the UCI in accordance with the following schedule summary (as further detailed in the ITT documents):
12 April 2019: announcement of the ITT
18 April 2019: transmission of ITT documents to interested Bidders
13 May 2019: deadline for interested Bidders to submit their Bid Letters
20 to 24 May 2019: selection of short list by UCI and detailed examination of bids
3 June 2019: final decision of the UCI.
