From 1st January 2012, anyone wishing to represent a rider from a team in the first or second division (UCI WorldTeam or UCI Professional Continental Team) - with the exception of riders’ lawyers and relatives – will have to have obtained a riders’ agent’s Licence from their National Federation.
However, this request will only be accepted for individuals who are already certified by the UCI. The introduction of this procedure comes after the approval, by the UCI Management Committee from 17th June 2011, of a text intending to regulate the role of rider’s agent.
More precisely, the aim is to professionalise, standardise and better monitor this activity.
