The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) informs that Dutch rider Antwan Tolhoek has been notified of an Adverse Analytical Finding for Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS)* in a sample collected during an out-of-competition control on 27 November 2023.
The doping control was initiated and conducted by the International Testing Agency (ITA) on behalf of the UCI.
In accordance with the UCI Anti-Doping Rules, the rider has been provisionally suspended. He has the right to request the analysis of the B sample.
The UCI will not comment any further while the proceedings are ongoing.
* AAS are Prohibited Substances listed under class S1.1 of the Prohibited List which is maintained by the World Anti-Doping Agency and adopted by the UCI.
