The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce that the 2015 UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup will include an extra round with the registration on the UCI International Calendar of an event in South Africa. The racing in Pietermaritzburg will take place from September 11 to 13. The 2015 season of the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup will therefore comprise the following four rounds: • Maniago, Italy (June 5-7) • Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland (June 13-16), • Elzach, Germany (July 24-26), • Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (September 11-13). The world’s top para-cyclists will also confront each other at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Nottwil, Switzerland, from July 29 to August 2. The announcement of the new World Cup round on the African continent comes 24 hours before the start of the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Apeldoorn (the Netherlands) which take place from March 26 to 29. This event will see 153 athletes from 30 nations race for the 31 titles at stake. On Sunday March 29, the UCI will broadcast the racing live on its YouTube channel from 11.10am GMT (12.10pm CET).
