Event: UCI BMX World Championships

Explosive starts, breathtaking speed, dramatic jumps ... BMX is a pure energy blast! As the newest UCI discipline to become an Olympic sport, BMX is experiencing strong growth. The format of the events and the nature of the sport are extremely attractive to the public. Youngsters especially like BMX; not just to watch but also to become involved and practice the sport. The event format is very flexible: venues can be outdoors or indoors using permanent or temporary tracks. A large Challenge event for amateurs is held in conjunction with the Elite World Championships and has the potential to attract in excess of 2,000 amateur riders.
