Now in its 14th year, the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah has been called “America's Toughest Stage Race” due to its altitude, lengthy stages and weather. The race has had a UCI classification since 2011 and holds a UCI 2.HC ranking on the UCI America Tour. This year, American climber Sepp Kuss (Lotto NL-Jumbo) dominated the race, winning three stages (2, 5 and 6) as well as the Climber's Jersey and the Yellow Jersey. The race covered 883.6 kilometers over seven stages.Americans dominated the race this year, winning all but one stage and holding the Yellow Jersey throughout. Tejay van Garderen (BMC Racing Team) won the opening Prologue and held the lead through Stage 1, which was won in a sprint finish by Travis McCabe (UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team). Kuss took the stage win and the overall lead on the following climbing stage and remained in Yellow for the rest of the race.2018 Final Standings1. – Focus on Gavin Mannion –

American rider Gavin Mannion (UnitedHealthcare Professional Cycling Team) jumped from 12th to second in the UCI America Tour ranking for August after winning the Colorado Classic (UCI 2.HC) stage race. He won the second stage and also finished third in Stage 3. In 2013 he had his first major international result, finishing eighth overall at the Tour de l'Avenir (UCI 2.NCup). Then in 2015 he was fourth at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge (UCI 2.HC), and in 2017 finished second at the Larry H. Miller Tour of Utah (UCI 2.HC).
