The 2018 UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup concluded with the third and final round in Baie-Comeau, Canada, on August 15-19. Baie-Comeau has held the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships twice (2010, 2013), and last hosted a World Cup in 2012.
Competition opened Wednesday, August 15th, with the team relay, won by USA1, ahead of Spain and USA2. Athletes then competed in two days of time trials, before two days of road races.Great Britain, Germany and host nation Canada tied for the most gold medals at six each, with Germany winning the most medals overall (16). In the final UCI World Cup rankings, two riders scored a perfect 360 points by winning all six possible events (three time trials and three road races): Shelley Gautier of Canada in women's T1, and Keiko Noguchi of Japan in women's C2. An additional four riders had five wins and one silver - William Groulx of the United States in men's H2, Hans-Peter Durst of Germany in men's T2, Laura de Vaan of the Netherlands in women's H5, and Alicia Dana of the United States in women's H3.

2018 Para-cycling road season completed
American H2 rider William Groulx leads the UCI World Rankings for the men's H2 category after a stellar 2018 season on the road. At the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Maniago, Italy, he won the road race title and took the silver medal in the time trial. Over the course of the three-event UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup, he won all three time trial competitions, and two road races. He finished second in the final round road race. He was also a member of the winning American squad in the team relay at the UCI World Championships. At the Rio 2016 Paralympics, Groulx won the gold medal in the road race and silver in the time trial.
