The 18th edition of the UCI Trials World Cup will get underway on May 20-21, in Aalter, Belgium, with the first of five rounds. Aalter, home town of the multiple UCI World Champion and UCI World Cup winner Kenny Belaey, was the opening round in 2012, the only other time it has hosted a UCI Trials World Cup. After a seven-week hiatus, the series will move to Vöcklabruck, Austria, for Round 2 on July 8-9. Round 3 is in Les Menuires, France (July 29-30), with Round 4 one month later in Albertville, France (August 26-27). The 2017 UCI Trials World Cup concludes in Antwerp, Belgium, on September 23-24, where the overall titles will be awarded.

Aalter, Belgium Trials #1 > May 20-21
German rider Dominik Oswald finished third overall in the 2016 UCI Trials World Cup. Oswald is a two-time UCI World Champion in the Junior Men's 20" category, winning in both 2014 and 2015. In 2016, as a first year Elite, Oswald finished sixth in the 20" UCI World Championships.
