Boels Dolmans Cycling Team continues to leave its stamp of authority on the UCI Women’s WorldTour with three wins (two stages and the overall) on round ten of the inaugural series. UCI World Champion Lizzie Armitstead won the queen stage of the Aviva Women’s Tour to take out the race overall. Her teammate, Luxembourg Champion Christine Majerus, won the opening stage.
Several other teams achieved top results in the United Kingdom. Lotta Lepistö (Cervélo-Bigla Pro Cycling) won from a breakaway on the final stage into Kettering to secure her team’s first victory in the UCI Women’s WorldTour while Amy Pieters (Wiggle High5) delivered her team its second UCI Women’s WorldTour victory when she won the stage two reduced bunch sprint. Marianne Vos (Rabo Liv Women Cycling Team) showed that her form continues to improve with a stage win and one day in yellow.
Despite sitting out round ten, Megan Guarnier (Boels Dolmans Cycling Team) remains atop the UCI Women’s WorldTour individual classification, (624 points), ahead of Armitstead (537 points) and Emma Johansson (463).
Kasia Niewiadoma (Rabo Liv Women’s Cycling) maintains her hold on the blue youth jersey.
After ten rounds of racing, the UCI Women’s WorldTour has covered 2091.2 kilometres.

Alé Cipollini’s Emilia Fahlin (27) animated the Aviva Women’s Tour with her constant attacks and multiple escapes, earning the most aggressive rider on stage four. Fahlin signed her first pro contract with T-Mobile in 2007 when she 18, the youngest Swedish rider to turn pro. In her second Olympic Games after London 2012, she will support Emma Johansson in Rio 2016.
