The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has signed a partnership agreement with machinery suppliers Gunco for the 2014-2015 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup.
Under this one-year agreement, Gunco is the official supplier of logistic machines for all rounds of the World Cup. In addition it will offer the organisers discounted prices on their products.
This Benelux company is a leader in the rental of aerial work platforms, lift trucks and telehandlers, and supplies the construction industry, music festivals, sports events and concert halls.
“When the UCI informed us they were looking for a logistics partner for the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup, it rapidly became very clear to us that we wanted to commit,” said Gunco Rental Manager Hans de Reydt. “The World Cup is extremely popular in our region and we want to be part of that.”
UCI Head of Marketing Cyrille Jacobsen welcomed the partnership with Gunco: “On the one hand, our World Cup organisers can rely on the very best machinery to prepare their events, and in return Gunco will receive added recognition in the sports and events sector. It is a win-win situation.”
Gunco joins the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup’s two other official partners, Beko and Shimano.
