Weekly recap | 22 - 29 April

Between them, Dutch riders Marianne Vos (CCC Liv) and Anna van der Breggen (Boels Dolmans Cyclingteam) have won 10 of the last 13 editions of the Flèche Wallonne Féminine. With her fifth consecutive victory at the Belgian Classic last Wednesday, UCI World Champion van der Breggen matches the five wins of Marianne Vos (2007-09, 2011 and 2013). Mitchelton Scott’s Annemiek van Vleuten took her second consecutive second place of the season in Belgium (after Amstel Gold Race Ladies).

The now familiar Alaphilippe – Fuglsang breakaway duo (after Strade Bianche and Amstel Gold Race) again went head to head at La Flèche Wallonne. The Frenchman got the better of Astana Pro Team’s Jakob Fuglsang (DEN) to take his second consecutive victory at the mid-week Classic and his third of the season after Strade Bianche and Milan-Sanremo.
