The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that rounds five and six of the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Cup, originally scheduled for 3 and 4 October in Mentougou (Beijing), China, will now take place one day earlier, on 2 and 3 October. The timetable for each day of competition and the venue for the events remain unchanged.
The UCI took this decision in consultation with the Local Organising Committee because of the strong winds forecast for Sunday 4 October in the Mentougou area. These could have compromised the smooth running of the event and the safety of the riders and everyone present at the competition venue.
The UCI thanks the National Federations, teams and athletes for their understanding and flexibility, as well as the officials, volunteers, Local Organising Committee and all partners for their cooperation and support. The UCI reiterates that everyone's safety is its absolute priority, and is pleased to have found a solution that allows both rounds to go ahead in the best possible conditions.
