Public voting for the 2026 UCI Fans’ Choice Awards opens today, 4 November. Until 1 December, fans can choose the winners of the five awards, which will be presented on 9 December 2026 in Benidorm (Spain) at the UCI Cycling Gala, to be organised annually.
Announced in July, the UCI Cycling Gala will honour the best riders, teams and nations in the women’s and men’s UCI World Rankings for the 2026 road season. Alongside these rankings-based awards, the UCI Fans’ Choice Awards will let the wider public reward the riders behind the performances that made the greatest impression on them this year, in five categories:
UCI Feat of the Year: the most remarkable individual performance in a single race;
UCI Sprinter of the Year: the sprinter who delivered the most outstanding performances of the season in the speciality;
UCI Climber of the Year: the climber who delivered the most outstanding performances of the season in the speciality;
UCI Youth Performance of the Year: the young rider who delivered the most outstanding performances of the season at UCI WorldTour or UCI Women’s WorldTour races;
UCI Domestique Performance of the Year: the rider who put their talent at the service of their team in the most remarkable way.
For each award, the UCI has drawn up a closed shortlist of ten riders, five women and five men, each presented with the performances that earned them their place. Fans will vote for one athlete per award, a woman or a man, chosen only from this shortlist. No other names can be put forward. Each award will go to a single winner, decided solely by the public vote and revealed live on stage during a ceremony held as part of the UCI Cycling Gala.
UCI President David Lappartient said: “Riders write the story of every season, but it is among the fans, at the roadside and in front of their screens, that it truly resonates. It was only natural to give them a voice. The rankings tell us who was strongest; the UCI Fans’ Choice Awards will tell us which moments meant the most to the public.”
How to vote
Voting is open from 12:00 on 4 November 2026 to 23:59 on 1 December 2026 (Central European Time) at www.ucicyclinggala.com. To participate, simply register, choose an athlete for each of the five awards, then confirm your entry. Only ballots with five choices will be considered.

Hosted at the Centro Cultural de Benidorm, the ceremony will be broadcast live on television (in Europe) and on the UCI YouTube channel.
