Following the registration procedure for UCI professional teams (UCI Women’s WorldTeams, UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s ProTeams and UCI ProTeams), the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) today announces the names of the teams who are granted a licence for the 2026-2028 cycle (1st division) and those for whom registration for the 2026 season is confirmed (2nd division).
The 2026 season marks the start of a new licensing cycle for UCI Women's WorldTeams, and UCI WorldTeams. For the first time, these licenses are being awarded simultaneously and for a uniform 3-year period. The initial cycle of UCI Women’s WorldTeams licenses lasted four years. Following that, the duration was shortened to two years. Henceforth, these licenses are awarded for three-year cycles, following the same schedule as the UCI WorldTeams.
UCI Women’s WorldTeams (Women’s 1st division)
As part of the allocation of UCI Women's WorldTour licences for the 2026-2028 period, following a full review of the files received in light of all the different applicable criteria (ethical, financial, administrative, organisational and sporting) and in accordance with the UCI Regulations (art. 2.13.066), the UCI Licence Commission has decided to award a licence to the 14 following teams1, subject to compliance with the provisions relating to annual registration during the period:

As the number of teams applying for a UCI WorldTour licence was greater than the number of licences available, teams were evaluated on the basis of the sporting criterion, taking into account the points earned in the UCI World Ranking by teams during the 2023, 2024, and 2025 seasons, in accordance with article 2.15.011a of the UCI Regulations. As such, the following teams’ applications were not approved:

These two teams will therefore be registered as UCI ProTeams in 2026.

The registration procedure for UCI Women's WorldTeams, UCI WorldTeams, UCI Women’s ProTeams, and UCI ProTeams for the next season has now been completed. A total of 14 UCI Women's WorldTeams, 18 UCI WorldTeams, 16 UCI ProTeams and 7 UCI Women’s ProTeams have been registered for the 2026 season.
