It is with great sadness that the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) learned that the promising young Belgian rider Bjorg Lambrecht has passed away. Aged 22, the neo-professional with the Lotto Soudal team lost consciousness after an accidental crash during the 3rd stage of the Tour de Pologne. He was taken by ambulance to hospital in Rybnik, where he unfortunately died. Very shocked, the UCI extends its sincere sympathy to Bjorg Lambrecht's family, friends and team.
