Mountain Bike Eliminator: postponement of UCI World Championships and cancellation of UCI World Cup round in Graz (Austria)

Due to the current pandemic (Covid-19) linked to the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announces that the 2020 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Championships due to take place in Leuven (Belgium) on 23rd August have been postponed.

The 2020 UCI World Championships for mountain bike Eliminator will now take place in Leuven on 25th October.

The UCI also announces that the round of the UCI Mountain bike Eliminator World Cup powered by citymountainbike.com, due to take place in Graz (Austria) on 29th August, has been cancelled.

While sharing the disappointment of the mountain bike community, the UCI supports these decisions made by the organisers and respective local authorities, which contribute to the protection of the health of riders, those involved in the events and the fans, and aims to slow the spread of Covid-19.
