Professional Cycling Council approves 2019 UCI WorldTour calendar

Following yesterday’s meeting of the Professional Cycling Council (PCC) which took place in Geneva (SUI), the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to reveal the calendar of the UCI WorldTour for 2019.

The major annual series of professional men’s road cycling will span nine months between the second half of January and the end of October. The 2019 edition of the UCI WorldTour will take the best riders in the world across 37 events, in 18 countries and four continents.

The main change for 2019 is the merging of the Dubai Tour and Abu Dhabi Tour into a single event, the UAE Tour, which will run between 25 February and 2 March. The six-day event will conserve its position on the UCI WorldTour calendar as one of the first races of the season once the series departs Oceania and makes its way to Europe for the Spring Classics.

The full men’s UCI Road International Calendar, including races at HC, Class 1 and Class 2 levels, will be published in September.
