Renewal of UCI Athletes’ Commission: BMX Freestyle candidates unveiled

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce that five riders (three men and two women) are candidates for the role of BMX Freestyle representative on the UCI Athletes' Commission. One male and one female athlete will be elected to represent the discipline on the Commission. Candidates are:

Men:

-  Ryan Nyquist (USA)-  Ben Wallace (GBR)-  Daniel Dhers (VEN).

Women:

-  Kayley Ashworth (GBR)-  Nina Buitrago (USA).

All BMX Freestyle athletes participating in the 2021 UCI Urban Cycling World Championships from 4 to 8 June in Montpellier (France) will be able to vote for one representative per gender. The vote will be held onsite during official training and at the start of the two Elite competitions.

The election results should be published on the UCI website on 10 June.

The members of the Commission will be elected for a term of four years, starting from the 2021 UCI Congress and running until the UCI Congress in 2025.
