Renewal of UCI Athletes’ Commission: candidates standing to represent track cycling

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is pleased to announce that four athletes (one woman and three men) are standing as candidates for the role of track cycling representative on the UCI Athletes' Commission.

One woman and one man will be elected to the Commission.

The candidates are:

Women

  • Ally Wollaston (NZL)

Men

  • Harrie Lavreysen (NED)

  • Clever José Martínez Moros (VEN)

  • Elia Viviani (ITA).

All athletes competing in the 2025 Tissot UCI Track World Championships, which will take place in Santiago, Chile, from 22 to 26 October, will be able to vote for one of the three male track cycling representatives. Voting will take place on site on 20 and 21 October from 9am to 7:30pm, as well as on 22 October from 9am to 5pm, local time.

The results of the elections will be published on the UCI website on 23 October.

However, no election will be necessary for track cycling’s female representative. Ally Wollaston was the only woman to have submitted her candidacy by the required deadline. As she meets the eligibility requirements, her appointment for the next term of the UCI Athletes' Commission is therefore confirmed without the necessity for an election.

Ally Wollaston will therefore represent track cycling on the UCI Athletes’ Commission.

The members of the UCI Athletes' Commission are elected for a four-year term. For those already elected, this term began at the 2025 UCI Congress in Kigali (Rwanda) on 25 September. For members elected after UCI Congress, their term begins on the date of their election. The term will end at the 2029 UCI Congress in Copenhagen (Denmark).

The renewal process for the UCI Athletes' Commission will be completed with the election of its President, which will take place on 12 November 2025 in Aigle, Switzerland.
