The UCI and Big Bobble Hats extend their partnership

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Big Bobble Hats are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership for a further four years.

A UCI partner at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships since 2018, the Scottish brand will continue its presence as Official Supplier of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships until 2030.

Known for its colourful designs, oversized bobbles and distinctive hats, Big Bobble Hats has developed a strong connection with the cycling community, particularly within the world of cyclo-cross. The renewed agreement will allow Big Bobble Hats to continue producing its popular range of officially licensed UCI merchandise, including its iconic rainbow-striped Big Bobble Hats, celebrating the colours and traditions of cycling’s UCI World Champions. The brand will have a dedicated stand at the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships for the next four years.

UCI Director General Amina Lanaya said: “Since 2018, the distinctive Big Bobble Hats displaying the rainbow stripes have become widely associated with the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. We are pleased to extend our partnership and look forward to seeing even more fans wearing these colourful hats as they cheer on the best cyclo-cross riders in the world.”

Ian Hockey, Co-Founder of Big Bobble Hats, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with the UCI for another four years. We’ve built a fantastic relationship over the years, and it’s something we’re very proud of.

“The UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships are always the highlight of our year. We love attending these events, meeting cycling fans from all over the world and being part of the incredible atmosphere that makes cyclo-cross so special. We’re a small, family-run Scottish business, so to have an ongoing partnership with the world governing body of cycling means a huge amount to us. We can’t wait for another four years of fantastic events, meeting more cycling fans and, of course, seeing even more Big Bobble Hats out on the courses!”

The next four editions of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships will take place in Ostend (Belgium) in 2027, Hoogerheide (Netherlands) in 2028, Treviso (Italy) in 2029 and Namur (Belgium) in 2030.
