The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) are pleased to unveil the calendar for the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series.
The Series, which brings together the UCI World Cups in nearly all mountain bike’s endurance formats – Olympic cross-country (XCO) and cross-country short track (XCC) – and gravity formats – downhill (DHI) and enduro (EDR) – will visit nine countries on three continents during 14 rounds spread over 14 weekends between May and October 2026.
The Series will kick off with a historic weekend in Asia at the Race of South Korea, in MONA YongPyong, Republic of Korea. The XCO and XCC rounds will be the first in the history of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup to be held on this continent. The DHI round will be the first in the speciality to be held in Asia in 25 years.
The competitions will then head to Europe, first to Nové Město Na Moravě in Czechia, which will host the UCI XCO and XCC World Cups, then Loudenvielle-Peyragudes (France) for the UCI Downhill World Cup and the UCI Enduro World Cup.
Three weeks later, the first of two events combining XCO, XCC, DHI and EDR will take place at a long-standing partner venue Saalfelden Leogang – Salzburgerland, Austria, before the riders enjoy a week's rest ahead of five consecutive weekends of racing.
Lenzerheide (Switzerland) and Pal Arinsal (Andorra) will each host the UCI XCO, XCC and DHI World Cups, while Val di Fassa – Trentino (Italy) and Aletsch Arena – Bellwald, Valais (Switzerland), the venue for the enduro events of the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, will host the enduro events only. In the middle of this five-week period, La Thuile – Valle d'Aosta (Italy) will host the second round of the Series combining XCO, XCC, DHI and EDR.
After a break of almost a month, the European season will end with two consecutive race weekends in Haute-Savoie, France: the first featuring XCO, XCC and DHI, the second dedicated to the UCI Enduro World Cup final.
The Series then heads to North America for three rounds and two new venues. The first will see XCO and XCC events take place on the trails of Soldier Hollow – Midway, in the State of Utah (United States), a venue that regularly hosts the IBU Biathlon World Cup and is in the region that will co-host the 2034 Winter Olympics.
The penultimate round of the UCI Downhill World Cup will then take place in one of the sport's strongholds, Whistler Mountain Bike Park, in British Columbia (Canada), another iconic venue that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics.
On the final weekend of the 2026 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series, the UCI XCO, XCC and DHI World Cups will conclude at Lake Placid Olympic Sites in the State of New York, United States.

UCI President David Lappartient said: "Bringing together four UCI World Cups, the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series will see many stories unfold in 2026 as the weekends of competition progress. The succession of races throughout the season means athletes must strive for consistency, and logically there will be ups and downs along the way. The experience of seasoned riders and the sheer audacity of younger athletes always makes for thrilling competition across the different rounds.
"In 2026, the UCI World Cups for cross-country Olympic, cross-country short track, downhill and enduro will span 14 weekends in the space of six months with exciting new hosts joining some of the series’ favourite venues. I am particularly pleased that the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series will expand into Asia in 2026, adding a new dimension to the series and providing a prestigious opening to the season.”
Chris Ball, Vice President of Cycling Events at Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe, said: “The 2025 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series was always going to be about bedding in the major reforms that we introduced at the start of this year, and the competitiveness and excitement of each format shows that the changes are working. For 2026, we’re doubling down on our successes and pushing the sport even further into new territories.
“The 2026 calendar will witness 14 gripping events that take in the world’s best destinations, including four proven Olympic venues, with half returning under multi-year agreements reflecting our sustained investment in the sport’s growth. Every venue we've introduced since 2023 has quickly become a favourite among athletes, highlighting WBD’s commitment to pushing the limits of performance while prioritising safety and expanding a world-class, global calendar. We’re continuing to expand the reach of the sport by bringing Cross-country Olympic racing to Asia for the first time, growing our footprint in the USA, and will fulfil a long-term wish from fans, teams and athletes alike by adding Whistler – one of the world’s most iconic mountain bike destinations - to the WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series calendar from next year.”
