The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Mapei are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership for a further four years (2025-2028).
Within this framework, Mapei will be Main Partner of the UCI Road World Championships taking place in Kigali (Rwanda) in 2025, in Montreal (Canada) in 2026, and in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) in 2028. The Italian multinational will also be Official Partner of the 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships in Haute-Savoie (France). This event, whose first edition was organised in Glasgow, Scotland (Great Britain), in 2023, will bring together the UCI World Championships for different cycling disciplines for the second time.
This renewed collaboration with the UCI strengthens the bond that unites the Italian leader in the industry of adhesives and chemical products for building with cycling. This close relationship dates back to 1993, when the Milan-based company entered the world of cycling by supporting a professional team that, up until 2002, collected an impressive 654 victories at international level.
Mapei has been supporting the UCI Road World Championships since 2008, confirming its commitment to this inclusive and international sport. Mapei’s partnership with the UCI is built on shared values such as perseverance, teamwork and the will to face tough challenges.
During the events, the Mapei logo will be clearly displayed along the entire route, at medal ceremonies, during press conferences and interviews, as well as on all official communication materials. In addition, the company will offer its customers from all over the world an exclusive Hospitality Area in a prime location so they can closely follow the competitions and participate in a series of activities enabling them to share their common passion for cycling.
UCI President David Lappartient said: “We are delighted that the partnership between our Federation and Mapei has been renewed for another four years. The Italian group's presence at the UCI Road World Championships for 16 years bears witness to its strong commitment to cycling and to our flagship annual event. I am also delighted to be able to count on Mapei's support for the second edition of the UCI Cycling World Championships, which will be the biggest event in the history of our sport and will bring together 20 UCI World Championships in 2027”.
Mapei CEO Veronica Squinzi said: "Our passion for cycling has deep roots, also linked to our family, and is based on the values that we share with this sport. We are a company that never stops pedaling, so it is natural for us to continue this partnership with the UCI, which allows us to be part of an event that represents a world stage for the best athletes in cycling.”
