UCI, Santini and Decathlon extend reach of dedicated UCI World Championships rainbow collection

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and its partner Santini, together with Decathlon, are pleased to announce an extension of their partnership for the exclusive distribution of a collection of cycling clothing and accessories. The collection, designed and manufactured by the Italian company Santini, will now be on sale at Decathlon outlets in more European countries than during the first year of the partnership.

Available since March 2021 exclusively in Decathlon shops in Italy, Belgium, Hungary and Switzerland, the rainbow collection will also be on sale in the French, German and Spanish stores of the sports and leisure retail outlet from April 2022. The UCI – Santini collection is displayed in special Santini & UCI-branded corners of the Decathlon stores and is also available on the Decathlon website.

The collection includes a replica of the UCI World Champion jersey, an all-black kit, and a range of black and white accessories. All sport the iconic rainbow stripes, are made with the traditional Santini skill and quality, and are for sale at attractive prices.

This extended agreement with Decathlon ties in with the UCI’s desire to promote cycling for populations in all regions and of all levels of ability.

UCI President David Lappartient declared: “Thanks to this UCI – Santini initiative in partnership with Decathlon, more bike users and cycling enthusiasts have discovered the fantastic Santini cycle wear, either in neutral colours or sporting the prestigious rainbow stripes of UCI World Champion. I am delighted that this initiative is expanding to reach an even greater cross-section of the population, thanks to a wider distribution agreement with Decathlon, a major outlet specialising in multisport and leisure.”

Monica Santini, CEO of Santini Cycling Wear added: “The Santini & UCI collection made exclusively for Decathlon was a great success with the public and that is why we decided to broaden our agreement for 2022. The new agreement was reached directly with the Decathlon Group and reflects our mutual trust and cooperation as well as providing for constant growth.”

Guillaume Pichot, Decathlon Product Manager said: “Santini is a symbol in the world of cycling and it is an honour to collaborate with such a beautiful brand. We thank the UCI for making this association possible. This partnership makes a lot of sense for Decathlon; we are delighted to be able to offer our customers clothing that reflects the highest level of international cycling.”
