The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) today announces changes to the calendars for the 2021 UCI World Cups for para-cycling road and indoor cycling. The changes are linked to the international health situation (Covid-19 pandemic).
Concerning the 2021 UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup, the round in Ostend (Belgium) is maintained at the scheduled dates (6-9 May), while the round in Marostica – Bassano del Grappa (Italy), initially programmed from 13 to 16 May, is postponed to the autumn. Finally, the round in Baie-Comeau (Canada), which should have taken place from 20 to 22 July, is cancelled at the request of the organisers because of restrictions imposed by the Canadian authorities due to the pandemic.

For indoor cycling, three of the eight rounds of the 2021 UCI Cycle-ball World Cup are cancelled at the request of their organisers. These cancellations concern the second, third and fourth rounds. The second and fourth rounds should have taken place in Germany - Langenschiltach on 12 June and Ginsheim on 4 September – while the third round, to have been organised in Asia, was still awaiting confirmation. The first round of the 2021 UCI Artistic Cycling World Cup, scheduled to take place in Komarno (Slovakia), is postponed until 26 June. That means that Uzwil (Switzerland) will now open the season on 23 May. The round in Hong Kong (China), set for 14 August, is cancelled at the request of the organisers.
